FAQ
How Do I Book?
Just scroll down to the ‘Book A Session' tab at the bottom of this page and let me know which type of session you would like to book and your preferred date. If you are not sure yet which session you’d like yet, don’t worry I’ll contact you and we can decide together which package will best suit your needs.
When is our deposit and remainder due?
Once your date has been confirmed as available, a $100 deposit is required to hold that date for your session. The remainder is due 7 days before your session date.
What is the Best Time for a Photoshoot?
The best light is in “golden hour” which is the hour after the sunrise or the hour before sunset. These are the ideal times to schedule your session and I will only shoot during these times if I can help it! This time of day provides the most beautiful, glowy light and helps create that magical warmth in photos!
But I have kids, isn't golden hour a bit late?
Oh mumma, I feel you! The idea of having to get the kids ready and keep them happy during 'witching hour' is daunting! Buuuut you would be so surprised how well little ones handle it! Being in a different environment, with a somewhat crazy camera lady actin' a fool (that's me!), they let loose and enjoy themselves.
Call it distraction maybe? We just encourage them to play and enjoy themselves and that's where the magic is!
Do you travel?
Absolutely I do! I offer free travel across the Tablelands up to a 40km radius of Atherton.
Travel to Cairns (Gordonvale to Smithfield) and up to 70km from Atherton incurs a $40 travel fee.
For travel prices outside of this please contact me!
Can we add family members to our packages?
The more the merrier for sure! I am absolutely happy to accommodate larger families and groups - party hard eh! The cost for additional family members is $10 per person
What are our location options?
Pretty much anywhere! I am ALWAYS open to suggestions and I love it when my clients choose somewhere that means something to them! We can hike mountains, frolic in fields, swim in creeks, cuddle up in home - whatever your heart desires!
I can absolutely make suggestions with spots I frequent but I'll always allow you to let your imagination run wild and/or stay as cozy as you wish. This is, after all, all about capturing you and the memories you want to preserve
Why are newborn sessions not included in the Sweet Essence or Capture The Light Package??
I wanted something a little more in depth when it came to newborns and in my experience, they often require that extra touch of love! Whether we require more time for feeds, settling, wrapping or time for mum & dad to get in a quick snooze *wink* - I wanted to allow for that without families feeling rushed. Soaking up those newborn snuggles is what I'm all about
Do I have to order prints through you?
Not at all! As part of your gallery, you do have the option of ordering prints through my store. Any orders through the store are produced in the highest quality by Atkins Pro Lab who are an Australian based company and the oldest print lab in Oz (how cool!).
But whilst I have that option for you, you are always welcome to print your photos elsewhere. With each gallery, you receive a print release to be able to print your photos at a place of your choosing.
Can I upgrade my package?
I am your typical "overshooter" and for those who don't know what that is - I tend to get click happy during our session because I want nothing to be missed!
So, what does that mean for you? Well, it means I provide you with a gallery with a surplus of images to choose from! You can choose to stick with the number of images you already have as part of your package OR you can choose to upgrade! I take all of the guess work out and provide some upgrade deals when you your viewing gallery is delivered!
What happens if the weather is bad?
Who doesn't love some moody clouds and some wind for shoots?! Overcast weather can create beautiful lighting that creates a gorgeous mood.
However, storms, heavy rain, etc can be a bit chaotic so we will organise a reschedule ASAP if any of those occur.
